Personal data provided to the Trustee through this website may be used for the purposes of

  1. effecting the changes required;
  2. daily operation of mandatory provident fund services;
  3. designing financial services or related products for customers' use;
  4. marketing services or products of China Life Insurance (Overseas) Co Ltd and/or its subsidiaries and/or associated companies; and
  5. purposes relating thereto.
The personal data collected will be transferred to the relevant departments of the Trustee for processing.
(b) Any person has the right to check whether the Trustee holds data about him/her and of access to such data; to require the Trustee to correct any data relating to him/her which is inaccurate; and to ascertain the Trustee's policies and practices in relation to data and to be informed of the kind of personal data held by the Trustee. In accordance with the Personal Data (Privacy) Ordinance, the Trustee has the right to charge a reasonable fee for the processing of any data access request.

This agreement shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of the Hong Kong Special Administrative Region. If at any time any term of use becomes illegal, invalid or unenforceable in any respect, the legality, validity or enforceabilities of the remaining terms of use shall not be in any be affected or impaired thereby.

You may access the Internet to conduct change of registration details and voluntary contribution(s), change of investment choice(s) and transfer of accrued benefits in respect of your account. All instructions given over the Internet to effect any transaction shall not be effected until the Internet confirms successful completion of the transaction.

Any instruction in respect of your account may not be revoked once confirmed to be completed by the Internet.

Any information relating to any account or transaction made available on the website is for reference only and our internal records of the account and transaction shall be conclusive until the contrary be established.

You acknowledge that the Internet is, due to unpredictable traffic congestion and other reasons, an inherently unreliable medium of communication and that such unreliability is beyond our control. You acknowledge that, as a result of such unreliability, there may be delays in the transmission and receipt or non-delivery of instructions and other information when using the Internet and that may result in delays in the execution of instructions and/or transaction not being carried through. You further acknowledge and agree that there are risks of misunderstanding or errors in any communication when using the Internet and that such risks shall be borne by you.

You hereby authorize the Trustees to act on any computer-generated instruction in respect of the internet services made using your Login ID and PIN. The Trustees shall not be bound to verify the authenticity or accuracy of any such instruction made through any use of your Login ID and PIN.

Instructions provided by you using your Login ID and PIN shall be valid and conclusively binding on you, even if such instructions are given by you or by any other person purporting to be you.

(12)

The Trustees will process your instructions as soon as reasonably practicable after receipt of your instructions. The Trustees shall not be liable in any event for any delay in processing any of your instructions. The Trustees will process your instructions by reference to your MPF/ORSO Funds account information and fund unit prices current at the time of processing.

China Life MPF Master Trust Scheme ("Scheme") is a registered mandatory provident fund scheme.

Investment involves risks and not all investment choice available under the Scheme would be suitable for everyone. There is no assurance on investment returns and your investments/accrued benefits may suffer significant loss.

You should consider your own risk tolerance level and financial circumstances before making any investment choices. When, in your selection of funds, you are in doubt as to whether a certain fund is suitable for you (including whether it is consistent with your investment objectives), you should seek financial and/or professional advice and choose the fund(s) most suitable for you taking into account your circumstances. In the event that you do not make any investment choices, please be reminded that your contributions made and/or benefits transferred into the Scheme will be invested into China Life Balanced Fund in accordance with the default fund arrangement as stated in Application of Participation Form and such fund may not be necessarily be suitable for you.

China Life MPF Conservative Fund, China Life Guaranteed Return Fund and China Life Retire-Easy Guarantee Fund in the Scheme each invests solely in an APIF insurance policy issued by China Life Insurance (Overseas) Co Ltd Hong Kong Branch. Your investments are therefore subject to the credit risks of China Life Insurance (Overseas) Co Ltd Hong Kong Branch.

Fees and charges of MPF Conservative Fund can be deducted from either (1) asset value of the fund or (ii) members’ account by way of unit deduction. China Life MPF Conservative Fund uses the former methodology and, therefore, unit price quoted is net of management fees. China Life MPF Conservative Fund does not guarantee the repayment of capital.

China Life Insurance (Overseas) Co Ltd Hong Kong Branch acts as the guarantors of the APIF insurance policies of China Life Guaranteed Return Fund and China Life Retire-Easy Guarantee Fund in the Scheme. Your investments are exposed to the risk of China Life Insurance (Overseas) Co Ltd Hong Kong Branch. Please refer to the relevant sections of the Principal Brochure for the qualifying conditions of these guarantee funds.
